Loosening seized bolts

As in attached photo.
The 2 pieces are the tiniest fraction loose, yet the bolts are seized solid, won't loosen or tighten.
It's for a 100 series MF
Would it be OK to get a welder to join the 2 pieces together?

Have you tried knocking them with hammer to shock them a bit, it will only be rust on the threads stopping them from moving. And when I say hit with hammer I mean whack them with heaviest lump hammer you have. Have you had a 3/4” bar and pipe on them? Stick it back on tractor upside down to make it easier to work on.

Otherwise you need to warm the top clevis to get the bolts to move. If and when you get them to move, move them back and forty to loosen up. Please dont weld them, it’s a pet hate of mine seeing them welded as it just looks wrong and as you never know when you will need to remove one clevis if the machine has a pair o fixed clevises.

Big impact wrench with the proper socket rattle it both ways ,,the vibration will crack the rust

Id go with heat rather than an impact gun or 3/4 with bar. If u broke the head off ur gonna be in for more head scratchin

I think the heat is the only answer, I'll have to find someone with heating gear. There's a good chance these bolts are in place with over 40 years.

One job were the oxy propane, acetylene wins hands down.

Heat one flat of a nut to expand it , ur trying to expand one bit a tho, so concentrate the heat on one bit ,

If its on a 100 series Massey and hasn't needed swapped so far I'd just weld it solid and move on.

And how is he removing the rest of the seized bolts after the heads are cut off? The bolts don't go right through. The clevis is threaded...

How will a grinder help? I can cut the heads off the bolts or slice in between the two parts. Neither will loosen the seized threads inside.
