Lord Frost resigns

sick of people resigning , what I I resigned during the beast of the east or foot n mouth or lead up to brexit or literally every drama farming has had, resigning is gutless . Brexit is a mess and walking away saying it’s not my problem is sackless , you resign when your ship is in order

When I heard the news I assumed he’d grown some balls and fallen on his sword in shame after the hash he’d made of his ‘negotiations’.

But no, it’s about distancing himself from the fallout of the current car crash.😡
Im very pleased and proud to have led a great UK team to secure today's excellent deal with the EU. Both sides worked tirelessly day after day in challenging conditions to get the biggest & broadest trade deal in the world, in record time. Thank you all who made it happen. 3:21 pm 24 Dec 2020 Lord Frost

So what should he have done then - if he had made a "Mess" ?

Would you have said that Frost did a good job of helping deliver what we voted for?
Well he got it over the line and was the most effective negotiator we had at any point during the process (admittedly there was a low bar set by his predecessors). He wasn’t a career politician which showed in his approach. Did he deliver the utopian Brexit some envisaged? No.

He’s one of the more capable ministers and one of the very few in the current line up, on that basis alone, Boris could ill-afford to see him go.

Between he and Boris they have woven a pretty tangled web in NI
