as the title says, have you got it covered,
I had it on the old one under a classic policy,
new lorry is too young for that,

any suggestions on where to get it ?

thanks john

With the amount of over 7.5ton horse-box's and large campervan conversions that's used privately you would think there would be a cheap but good breakdown available that could be extended to cover our needs too, I wouldn't mind knowing if such a breakdown service exists nationally that would suffice so if you hear of anything away from the forum keep us posted please!

yes had no luck so far, I called one company, horse box 7.5 tonne with horses in was £262 a year, if horsebox broke down, 300 miles away from home, they would get the lorry home for you a also send a horsebox to transport the horses home, that means they would send 2 recovery vehicles for the job, but a lorry with tractor and plough on meaning only one recovery vehicle was a complete no no, and would not look at it,

I have managed to get a company (after lots of hours of phone call and searching on the internet) that will give roadside breakdown assist for a 7.5 tonne lorry, ( Labour is free, parts or tyres will be billed to you )
and if it cannot be sorted on the roadside then full recovery back home or to a repair garage of my choice from anywhere in the UK, for the lorry, tractor and plough, all for less than £200 pounds a year,
any age of lorry no mileage restriction, and if a trailer or caravan that is towed behind can be added on extra if needed,

there is plenty of modern policies for lorries up to 10 years old, and Classic policies for lorries over 20 years old,
but the 10 to 20 year old lorries there is very very little available in today's market
costs may apply,

pm me for details
