I would think, yes, if it carries a current MOT and most definitely if it is part of a licensed fleet and is normally behind a tractor unit.Do tractor drawn trailers require records of maintenance by law?
Not explicitly, but if something goes wrong then not having records will go against you as you'll struggle to prove that you had maintained the trailer in a safe condition.Do tractor drawn trailers require records of maintenance by law?
Haven’t said they do, just can’t believe people go on the road with no straps!Do tractor drawn trailers require records of maintenance by law?
Do you order full loads, or just part loads ?Annoys me when you hear of these driver shortages and yet you order bulk feed for example and they bring loads which are 1-3 tons short, which means you need extra deliveries . Multiply those extra journeys across just us farmers and it causes thousands of extra trips.
Part loads due to bin sizes but either 5 or 10 t orders, had a 3.7 and 7.2 on both in the past so over multiple orders it adds upDo you order full loads, or just part loads ?
Well there is your answer, sometimes they have to make orders fit the lorry, , and can be the case of some is to cut down,Part loads due to bin sizes but either 5 or 10 t orders, worse load delivered was 3.7.
How when i believe the lorries are partioned in 5t compartments? They cant use up the leftover space in my compartment!Well there is your answer, sometimes they have to make orders fit the lorry, , and can be the case of some is to cut down,
Well believe your wrong, there is hardly 2 Wagons the same for box sizes, and many can shift doors Back or forward a hole to make different size boxes,How when i believe the lorries are partioned in 5t compartments? They cant use up the leftover space in my compartment!
Also the mill may not have made the full order. We regularly leave light as there isn't enough made, or the first 2 or 3 drops are loaded heavy so you don't have capacity for the last drop.Well believe your wrong, there is hardly 2 Wagons the same for box sizes, and many can shift doors Back or forward a hole to make different size boxes,
Like I said sometimes you have to make the drops fit the lorry,
And if you order 10 tonne, and only get 4 delivered, that 4 will be at 10 rate, it could be they only had 4 tonne of space left on that lorry, and in that area on that day,
However the firm should drop off the balance in a day or so,.
Question is, have you ever run out because of late delivery ?
That is also correctAlso the mill may not have made the full order. We regularly leave light as there isn't enough made, or the first 2 or 3 drops are loaded heavy so you don't have capacity for the last drop.
Tbh i think six wheeler bulker blower lorries are all the same and there is no way of altering onboard bin sizes as they are on a one hook latch per bay . Returning in a few days with the shortfall is laughable, you end up being a few ton short but have to order a min of 5t or go without and hence my post that it causes extra journeys for already stretched workforce. I do agree that feed seems to be made just in time so sometimes there isnt enough to go around.Well believe your wrong, there is hardly 2 Wagons the same for box sizes, and many can shift doors Back or forward a hole to make different size boxes,

Last 6 wheeler I drove had 4 different sized bins and filling all of them would've put it overweight so there were always compromises to be made.Tbh i think six wheeler bulker blower lorries are all the same and there is no way of altering onboard bin sizes as they are on a one hook latch per bay . The hook latches that you see down the side are nothing to go by, as I have seen bulk bodies with 6 latches, but only 3 doors to make 4 compartments.Tbh i think six wheeler bulker blower lorries are all the same and there is no way of altering onboard bin sizes as they are on a one hook latch per bay . Seriously ? I thought that was a wind up !Not during the test, it will be assessed by another party. Not quite sure how that will work but it will make the tests a lot quicker.
Police post mentioned it so just wondered really.Haven’t said they do, just can’t believe people go on the road with no straps!
I haul lots of bales without straps, ever heard of a half hitchHaven’t said they do, just can’t believe people go on the road with no straps!
Easy as anything.hoe did you manage to transfer my quote from the milwaukee thread to this one? just asking.
Missus went shopping for someone today in local Co-op.Similar at the Co-ops around here but I think it is a Co-op problem more than anything because all the other shops are ok.
