Our old pointer was put to sleep today, weeping buckets reading this thread, but it is comforting too. Empty house, quiet, sad.
I think I ve gone soft in my old age I feel for you they become part of the family so they might as well be humans so it's okay to grieve. To me anyway they have an equal or greater palace in my heart than everyone bar my most immediate family.
