Lost BPS entitlements.

Had a works compound in the corner of a field for 3 years so now have lost 2ha of entitlements. Got it back last autumn so grassed it down. Filling my BPS claim in it shows "total max eligible 155ha" " total area claiming for 157ha". Will this matter?

If you hold 155 entitlements then that’s the amount you can claim. I believe you can change area amount in ‘land use’, but you will need to acquire more entitlements.
I wouldn’t recommend you apply for more area than eligible, it would:
a) delay payment
b) be liable to reduction
c) incur a fine

I suspect the only way of restoring the entitlements would be to buy some more - surely the land agent who negotiated with the compound company should have included that cost within the settlement….?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing ..!
