The barley has filled well, but this isn't wheat weather. Just not enough sun, but at least we aren't burning off.

Never have that issue but would like to start combining wheat before August bank holiday, which if my fungicide budget doesn't run out might not happen at the current rate of fill

Glorious day here today with sun shining and temps in the low 20s until about 2pm- then the Haar came in.

Well after a slow start we've had a week of perfect weather, hot and sunny.

Absolutely lovely. Crops look ok, cows are happy. I can walk around in shorts and old deck shoes. Fabulous.

Long may it continue, stop about sept would be good. Proper summer

Yeah, ground has soaked it up fine. I think the trigger was a combination of Glastonbury, Wimbledon, and my rape being ready to spray off / swath.
