Low Carbon Agriculture event launches in the UK

Low Carbon Agriculture, a new event showcasing opportunities in low carbon energy, technological advances and Environmental Land Management (ELM), is set to launch at the NAEC, Stoneleigh, next March. Charlotte Cunningham reports. Formerly Energy and Rural Business Show, the event has rebranded, relocated and reasserted its focus to ensure that practical solutions to tackling climate change through the generation of renewable energy, the implementation of low carbon initiatives and best practice in both environmental and carbon management, take centre stage, according to the organisers. Held in association with the National Farmers Union (NFU), Low Carbon Agriculture incorporates four expos in one show and has announced new features for the 2021 event, including the addition of ‘Environmental Business Expo’ and ‘Farm Technology Expo’ to compliment ‘Energy Now Expo’ and ‘Low Emission Vehicles Expo.’ Low Carbon Agriculture is also launching a networking app to enhance visitor experience, inviting delegates to book in one-to-one appointments in advance of the event, as well as attending networking roundtable discussions run by exhibitors and to continue these connections well beyond the show. Sigh.... another show. Groundswell is a much better platform for low carbon farming that Energy Now ever was. Energy Now is farm diversification (which can lower carbon footprint), not low carbon farming.
