lower ink arm tightening mf 35

The lower link arm shaft has come loose on my MF 35, if I take the wheel off and undo the bell housing can I pull it apart far enough to replace the nut in the bell housing or does it mean stripping the whole side just to do the nut up

You'll need to drain the oil and remove trumpet housing unfortunately as you will have to fit a new gasket on re-assembly. IIRC remove the L/H side one as you can then lift the diff out and do both sides from there. Replace both pins while you're at it.
