How about little tuna fishcakes? may not hold as well without egg but they should still be tasty. Cook and freeze to be reheated.

Is he okay with proper nuts (not peanuts), peas and beans ie tinned or dried beans? (or is that part of the same group as soya?) If beans and onions are okay you could hopefully adapt a red kidney bean vegeburger recipe to use mashed potato, instead of breadcrumbs and egg, for binding.

Didn't realise until recently that you could get gluten free baking powder or that baking powder traditionally contained wheat gluten as a drying agent:facepalm:

Thank you, I shall have a look when I get 2 mins :smug:
He's got massive food and syringe aversion the last few weeks so he won't try anything new

I am 35yrs older than him and still have a massive syringe aversion and as for trying new things lets just say i am set in my ways!! so i really do wish you the best of luck persuading him otherwise!

It's also quite hard to explain things to an 18 month old  maybe you'd like to keep him

Yes i can imagine it is, i dare say bribery may work as he gets a little older, even if it does get expensive! anything involving needles during my childhood ended up in a visit to the toy department for another britains tractor! dad nearly fainted quicker than me when the dentist declared i needed 6 teeth out on 3 seperate visits!

There are some great dairy free yogurt out thete. Cojo is great. Is the wheat allergy from gluten? If so loads of gluten free stuff. Oats ok? I love overnight soaked oats in almond milk and mashed banana

He has wat no dairy for yoghurts which is made from pea protein, it's gross!
He reacted to cojo, im quite new to his wheat allergy as he used to be fine with it but after a major reaction to soya, he lost wheat so we avoid everything to do with it now.
Oats are good though, I could soak in his oatley milk, do you add the banana the night before or when your ready to eat?

The list of allergic foods seems exhaustive. What happens if he tries some of them. Are these true allergies or intolerances
He has a condition called fpies which means after being exposed to one of his triggers, about 4-6 hours after he will start being sick, and literally projectile across the room type of sick and sometimes to the point where he goes floppy and unresponsive

This is him in hospital a day after he started being sick, a few weeks ago after his dietician tried to change his milk to get more nutrients in to him

he's now feeling much better (y)

So glad to se him feeling better. Awful that he gets so sick at so many things. Good job he's got you two as his parents to fight his corner for him. Great to see what a happy chap he it when he's feeling ok.
Hope things get easier for you all. (y)
Thank you, until I had him I saw allergies as more of an inconvenience and people wanting to be awkward (I know I'm sorry ) but he can get very poorly very quickly but hopefully he'll start improving at some point

We all live and learn. Many things are impossible to understand until you have direct experience of it, even health issues for someone who works in the health service. Don't beat yourself up over anything, you are learning lots and that is good for Rhys, and you are kind enough to share your knowledge and experience with others, so that is helping more people than just keeping it to yourself. Obviously it would be preferable not to be having to learn these things, but at least some good is coming from it. :)
Have a good weekend y'all (y)

I blend the banana with the almond milk, or mash it in after milk for more course oats [emoji106]
