Lush spring barley

I've some very lush spring barley....It's around gs 30/31....was thinking of pgr of either 1l/ccc/ha with 0.15/0.2 of moddus or canopy around 0.3/0.4....any help would be appreciated....had plenty of N so needs shortened a bit going forward and thickening of the stems as the tiller count is high. Even though it's been cool and wet it hasn't slowed its development much

Wow.....ok....I'll rephrase my barley as looking ok and about normal!!

That field was drilled in near perfect conditions.

Last two winters has had sheep on roots.

Last summer was spring barley but the hot dry spring buggered it.

had a tonne an acre of line last autumn before stubble turnips.

Then pre drilling this year it had sewage digestate, then just 50kg per ha of N with sulphur in seed bed.

First spray pass today, mainly to knock out cue parsley.

It’s nit going to see any more N.

Modus was very harsh on one of my fields coupled with the following drought last year. I won’t use it again so I would try canopy instead. Not an issue here this year.
That's the thing....It's a gamble.....the amount of water we have had in the last few weeks should be enough for a good while. Next week temps up in the early 20's.....not sure how that affects pgr's

We put 0.4L/ha canopy on some very lush spring barley last year, didn’t seem to hold it back any and still had a good straw yield. But it did keep it standing through some pretty heavy showers in July/August.

As my spring barley is starting to approach flag leaf emergence...... Feel it needs something else, 0.45l canopy put on 10 days ago....has anyone had experience with canopy at this stage instead of the likes of terpal/cerone?

Our spring barley are generally like the OP's. ALWAYS go with Moddus product. Haven't used Cerone/Terpal since Moddus arrived. Far far better for stem strength. Even last year when there was no rain for decades we still went with a low rate. When the rain eventually arrived the crop went woosh but still stood. I don't get why people are scared of Moddus. We are in a high rainfall area mind.
