Luximo new grass weed herbicide

Seen extensive trials on it. It’s abit better than flufenacet but its not a game changer, so anyone thinking they have been ‘saved’ is sadly mistaken.
I have heard a few whisperings on price, and if correct will probably mean something else would have to give, also heard it may be a twin pack with expensive pendimethlin….I hope it can be bought on its own to design our own stacks with it.
I’m tempted to agree; one caveat is that we are in a tricky year for blackgrass control where even the standards are not quite where they reckon to be. I would be extremely surprised if it becomes available on its own; every time I’ve asked the question it’s been a no so far.

The last thing the industry needs is another new SU type product- resistance to SU chemistry acting on the ALS pathway is widespread. Another mode of action is needed. ALS products are stone dead in the water. More use must be made of residual products and hormone type chemistry or the broad leaved weeds will be SU resistant in time.
Already got poppy growing through Ally Max here.

Will be sold as a co pack with pendimethalin for around £70-75 hectare. Thats my understanding. From conversations at Cereals.

Crystal (also from BASF) is likley to be in 'tight' supply, I am told.

Forgive my OAP's cynicism, but a weed that has the potential to make arable farming unsustainable can be (partially) controlled by a chemical that has the potential to make arable farming unsustainable.

Got most of next years Crystal in stock - last lot arrived today after buying group had issues getting it as original supplier cancelled the order and said there were 'severe' price rises coming and wouldn't honour the original order.
