Lynx front pto problem

Went to put the front mower on to day to check it over before we start cutting in a few weeks, and the front pto is giving bother. It starts the mower and runs it up for 30 seconds then slows down and stops. Its not showing the speed of the pto in the cab. Says on the screen to low a speed and start again. Would the speed sensor be the problem?? Thanks

I would say it could be the clutch on the way out. My old one did similar, it would start the flail topper slowly then disengage, it then wouldn't work completely. Symon Jacobsen is a good man to call, I think he is on here and sells front links etc

Its starting the mower and will rev it flat out. Starts it up again straight away. And unplugging the speed sensor makes no difference to it. Dealer thinks its the speed sensor, and want £200 for it. Don't want to buy one and its not that

If tractor does not see speed then it automatically shuts down after 30 seconds

Just to check If rest of gearbox runs ok
Remove electrics from solenoid and put 12 volts to it
It will be a harsh engagement so drop the shaft off from the mower
If it runs continuously - great
Does sound like a speed sensor
However the modulation units are prone to failure

The solenoid needs a min of 9 volts to work properly

I am happy to post out parts and have them returned if not needed
However will not credit for postage
