Agree, but where are our phones, tablets etc that we use to message on here made!

I thought that when I posted, but the phones etc are made there because of the pollution they cause in the manufacture. Apparently the rivers near the factory turn yellow, maybe that's why they have a "Yellow River".

Most of us are guilty of contributing to the great Chinese economic boom. Latest thing I noticed is pre-packed Dog Chews, and I don't want to think about what they are made from....................

It is hard to avoid! I think everything on my desk that is not paper (and probably some of the paper) was made or has components that where made in China. My mouse, keyboard and bank card reader are all Chinese as are my laptop monitors and stapler. There is a calculator from Taiwain but almost certainly has Chinese components. I would bet my office chair is also of Chinese origin.

Valtra like to think they are an upmarket tractor and then have engines made the engines in China. I hope Fendt engines aren't made there, that would be naughty.

They didn't 'give' any of us covid.
[/QUOTE]

They damn well did . They allowed covid to spread all over the world. They knew about it and allowed a conference in Wuhan and killed the doctor who tried to publicize what was going on.

The Chinese government are a disgusting bunch of megalomaniacs.

Err, I have no idea about Valtra being a “premium” product or not ( never seen one ), but BMW, Mercedes, Caterpillar, Honda, KTM - just to name a few, all have manufacturing facilities in China

I would think there are very few machines where something is not made in china be that a casting or a switch some trim or combination of parts so avoiding would be very hard to do if not impossible.
But TBH its quite good to hear that some are now starting to doubt the wisdom of using the PRC as the worlds workshop and there is good reason to doubt the leadership of china they are almost certainty manipulating the worlds countries to either align with them or suffer as a consequence, like Australia has been recently after being such a great trading partner of the Chinese.
I have great respect for the Chinese citizen as industrious hard workers , but I think the Chinese government have lost the plot with there current strategy that seems to undermining themselves on a world platform , but china are big and rich enough to influence smaller weaker nations and organisation such as WHO and will remain a very powerful nation even if we stopped trading with them completely
People voicing there concern about the prevalence of Chinese components in product cant be bad thing in the current climate

I read that the new Valtra G-series Agco engine is made in China. Are other Agco engines also made in China?

After what China has done to us and the rest of the world I wouldn't want to buy anything off them and it has put me off Valtras.
JCB had to cut production because they couldn't get hold of any parts that were made in china to build their british built machines, bet people will still buy JCB?
