My Evolution mag drill died yesterday. It was good but would like a variable speed one next time. Any recommendations?

Anyone tried the Milwaukwee cordless?

I have a Milwaukee cordless.

brilliant bit of kit. Only 2 speed though. 6 years old and was faultless until start of this year when had to have all electronics replaced which was either due to moisture or vibration. Spend too long on the back of the ute tray is my guess. Good as new again kow though.

I could do with one of theses but corded any recommendations
Yes one of these is excellent ime. light weight which i reckon makes a huge difference, proper little no frills machine. you get the HMT no key chuck as well for their quick fit range of bits and quite a Long stroke on him. for a mag drill .
Britsh made as well.

To be fair my pillar drill is a right piece of crap I’m planning on mostly using it on a bench I have a large old cast bed off another machine or drill to sit it on, could go with one with a good stroke

I have the cheapest one you can find on eBay, does my job, but maybe not if you’re planning to use it all the time

Replaced an old thing that finally packed up with a jei minibeast. It’s great at about 1/2 the weight of the old one. Gets used around the farm and on site fabricating part time and it’s wearing well

A friend and I share a Milwaukee mag drill, we took a punt on factory repair unit off ebay for roughly half price. You couldn’t tell it wasn’t brand new and it has worked faultlessly in couple years we’ve had it. If you stick the 12 amp battery on it then it lasts along time.

How do you get a 12 amp battery in urs. Mine won’t take a 12. Only the 9 which is rubbish or the 8 which is excellent
