Got a cow a bit off colour and not feeding nothing obvious but had vet out today couldn’t find much wrong, no clinical signs suggested a magnet bolus in case of a wire, never come across these, anyone use them ?

Had a cow here that had swallowed a wire and was losing condition. Our vet gave her a magnet bolus and she did get better. Didn't keep her too long though on vet's advice.

I prefer the magnets that are like a few polo mint magnets held together with some washers between them, there are a plastic type where the magnet is in a recess I don't think you get the same power from the plastic type to hold onto a bit of wire or nail.

I'm positive we have pulled a wire from the cow with a magnet more than once
