Quattro resin, 75litres did all the clamp two coats sprayed on, 130ftx30ftx4m it’s the prep that’s takes the time! £600 in resin or £300 in side sheets every year..defo guna do the grass clamp this year.got it a lot cheap off Calvin cave than off the actual Quattro firm and they recommend it to me View attachment 843446

Looks great, although it’ll be interesting to see durability on a grass clamp. What sort of sprayer did you use out of interest?

We use Bitumen paint on our grass clamps but it needs topped up every over year. Not overly expensive product but a labour intensive job.

Just one that use for painting fences etc plugs in and make its own air/spray quiet a high volume one tbf, don’t think it would stick to bitumen you’d have to grind it back to original concrete.its bloody labour intensive battening side sheets up every year,I’ll just give it a quick blast off with the drain jetter/pressure washer we got next year job done! Going to have a go at this next year allready got the runners up,down each side ready it’s just they wouldn’t of have the sheet made ready in time for when we needed it this year.

How much for the easi silage system?

Quoted me 60k for one pit, sheet was 30k [emoji15]

What do they advise with the likes of rodents and birds chewing through where the water is in the sheet?

Would make my own reel(nothing to them really) probably use the hydraulics off the loader to roll it back/out.salt water to stop it freezing.the quote iv had for the sheet is £6.5k But I’ve got a mate in the know with sheets etc make me whatever I want. Sheets can easily be fixed, patched.the last thing he covered for me was these dry cow trough covers.

Now that is a good idea, how much did they cost approx? Could one be made with an apex in the middle so both sides of the trough can be fed from?

Yeah easily it just scaffold tube and key clamps,£260 for both covers which will come off, roughly £120 in scaffold tubes/key clamps (cheap on eBay).both are hinged and will lift up so the trough can be cleaned out,it’s done two jobs tbf stopped them nosing the mix out of the trough and keeps the wind, rain, snow off.and I haven’t seen a starling in that trough this year yet(normally hammer that trough),next job is to make 14 20ft ones for the cow troughs
