Trouble with grain maize is hard to fill a cow on it. Plus when we run out of forage mazie and go on grain maize cows still drop a bit.

Last years was under plastic, and when we used to grow it. Not many peoples cup of tea but suits us, and can grow it where conventional would be harvested too late.
Expect that to be harvested last few days of aug to 1st wk September

I’d give it a go on some local sand land given a chance, even though we’re not in the most favourable area.
