Did ours yesterday first field was interesting and couldn’t get to about an acre, but 55 acres was fine and finished last night at 11. Average yields But filled the pit so fairly relived.

power harrow, with attached drill, 1 pass, We did some a few years ago, lost a new calf in it, cow wasn't worried, son went in to find it, no drill rows, totally, utterly lost in it, he rung me, to shout out, to get his bearings, came out, on a completely different side, to where he went in ! Good crop though, calf was with his mother next day.
Moving the kale fence this afternoon, dry as a bone, that's at the top of the hill, maize is at the bottom, due to come off this week, just hoping weather forecast gets it right.

R V Pugh posted a fb video of maize being direct drilled into sward in extremely dry conditions late spring/early summer, i would be interested to see what that grew like if anybody knows the company.

Contractor that drilled it was “n p Davies agricultural contractors” but haven’t put any more photos on there Facebook page since they drilled it
