Maize height

I've ventured out of Devon today and driven up M5 and M4, most I saw would have been in the knee to thigh high range but there is some awful patchy ankle high stuff about too. I don't think I saw any over waist height.

I was thinking the new term was waist high 4th of july.
thank goodness we don't grow the bloody stuff anymore.(especially when we have full pits and grass to graze:))
Worst is waist height, average is shoulder height. Best is just over 5' 10.5".

I was in the US 2 years ago and the "corn"around Madison was chest high. I quoted the waist high and they said that was old fashioned varieties.
The organic "corn" was equally as far forward.

The majority of ours is better than normal years. The best is chest high.
I do however, have a few patches that's only just germinated due to the drought we've had here.
