Maize lying flat

What's people's opinion of the best way to cut a crop of maize lying over

I would expect a Kemper type header would get most of that.

I'm using a Kemper 345 and I'm getting about two thirds of it but it's a slow process blocks every row

I have had my contractor use a wholecrop header before. It still did not do a great job but blocked up less than the kemper. We lost quite a few cobs.

Some of my grass has started doing the same thing because of the weight of the rain. Could it be the same reason, or there was a deer party?

If you have been having long periods of heavy windy rainy weather and the grass is dense and long it's probably being gradually being beaten down.

Could be to long, to much nitrogen heavy downpour and prob some other reasons.

Well, we have had a week of rain with a couple of days of gale 8 winds, after the driest September I can remember.

Yeah, I had the badger problem in one of my paddocks where they had a party in the long grass, but it looked worse with ground dug up and so forth.

that is what wild pigs do , or it could be crop circles lol
