Making a pin/bush pivot. What am I looking for?

Currently designing and buying in bits to make a lifting platform to carry something on the front of an old dumper. Apart from the existing 2 pivot points and the ram end, I need to add several addition pivot points on a parallelogram to keep the platform level. I will be using something like the 25mm OD pin on the current ram through a reinforced clevis. What I need to buy are some weld-on collars with ca. 25-26mm ID and about 10mm thick for the pins to rotate in. Kind of like you get on digger buckets or the pivots on a front end loader. Can you just buy those collars anywhere (cheaply :) ) Or am I better sourcing some thick wall pipe/tube and just cut segments to suit? Any links to online suppliers out there appreciated. I could probably find them myself if I knew what they were called!

PS they do not have to be 25mm if there is something else more common as a standard out there, though I measured the one on the end of the ram @ 25mm.

Thanks

Try here

Not wishing to hijack but looking for the same to replace the pivot point on a bale squeezer, id 38mm length 100mm but cannot find on net. Any more suppliers?
TIA

If there is room try and fit a larger OD and ID bush, then fit some of these. The pivots will last a lot longer then. Kramp do a 38mm ID 50mm OD version. Put that in a 50mm bush. It will be a loose fit in the Steerforth bosses (they will be a 50.5mm hole IIRC), the bushes need a H7 tolerance. But a dob of weld will be perfectly OK if needs must......

Mine is only a little 2 tonne Benford, but I also had the thought to fit an old Slewtec rear loader onto the front to make a sort of mini-yard loader like the Schaeffer ones. Something like this guy has been working on...

However, the project I am working on is something completely different. I will take some pics once I have a proof of concept tacked together, to see if it does what I hope it will. I will then start a p[roper thread and be asking for more advice on hydraulic systems no doubt :)

When you say lifting platform do you mean something like the 3 point linkage on the back of a tractor or are you on about something else

So I have knocked up a proof of concept out of wood, just to check whether the idea I have is worth pursuing. All looks good so I now need to buy the steel and the pivots and bushings. Then I will start a thread.

whatever you are putting the bale on with could surely be used to feed the bale out with

Indeed. It is what I was doing last year. But a 500 kg machine with a bale of silage on it stuck out front on the loader is a lot of strain on my little 75 hp tractor, and the whole rig is about 20 feet long, making it a bit unwieldy in the sheds.

You really need to always be on your guard to avoid hitting a post or a wall. So this is a solution to be a bit more handy, maneuverable and less of a strain on the main tractor. Besides, I enjoy making stuff :)
