Making a pin/bush pivot. What am I looking for?

Garvagh precision in Northern Ireland will make anything you want from a sketch and ship it out.

Keen rates too. Would say will be considerably cheaper than the ebay seller.

Ask for Oilite or Glacier bushes. Oilite are made from oil soaked sintered bronze and Glacier are a thin metal bush, some of theirs have a PTFE lining. They are available in loads of sizes. Any bearing supplier can get them and their catalogue is on line.

Quick question. I have sourced some thick walled hollow bar with a 1" (25.7) internal diameter. I can buy some bright steel bar to cut to length for pins to run in this tube as the pivots. My question is whether 1" bar would be too tight in the tube (Length would be about 70mm) and I would be better off with 25mm bar? If I provide grease nipples on the tube would that take up the 0.7mm slack on the 25mm pins?

Is it 1” or 25.7mm ID? 1” is 25.4mm.
Personally I’d use 25mm bar, 0.7mm is not much. Most holes for 25mm bar would be 25.5mm.

I needed some bush inserts last year and googled 'split bush'. My search suggestions have only just recovered.

I sent a link to a dumper loader on ebay this summer to @TripleSix, he bought it and has almost forgiven me. :D
