Small gantry and pulley block to hang from
a gantry is worth making, and if you dont want to use steel concrete etc,
its easy done with electric or telegraph poles , choose a 'quiet corner' where you drop implements etc and just dig them in 3ft or so with a digger like building a pole barn, then put one across the top , v notch with a purlin tie over will keep it there.

i made one wider so that i can lean my post knocker against it as he can be a bit hard to unhook what i do with him is rope or strap him to the cross pole then hes very safe from tipping over, can put the loader in beside him .

I'll make a gantry with wood like you said, in fact a neighbour who I have done a lot for has some in his field, I'll ask him . Something nice about wood and it's easily undone when it's not needed. I might end up leaving the loader on till I see how well I get on with it.

Thanks for the help, much appreciated 😁

If you have a shed - just use a suitable purlin close to the truss. The loader is not particularly heavy - i can lift the end of the ground. Parkside 250kg electric winch from Lidl was £50. Used it to lift an engine block but no reason why it wouldnt support the loader to take it off.

Thanks I'll bear that in mind, food for thought

This is a photo I grabbed from the web of a loader stand for a DB loader, never got round to making a copy as I use the "roof beam" method already mentioned - with a chain hoist and/or ratchet wire strainer to take the strain.

Also attach for amusement my first attempt at fitting my loader in my early days as a "hobby farmer" - where there's a will....

The second picture will be me in a week or so :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:, seriously though i'll use my engine hoist with a strap...Problem with taking it off in the shed is that every foot of space is used round late winter early spring when we lamb inside and the cows are in... Think i'll be doing the outside wood version in a quiet corner
