What's the opinion on these? Seem good value and after a plain disc. Any user experience?

I bought a 9’ mounted last year, on the strength of the Malone Tedder I have. It’s a simple, well built disc mower at a competitive price. Beds are apparently the same as Claas use, and plenty of other brands no doubt.
It’s belt driven, which is maybe an old fashioned idea, but it works (as long as it’s kept tight of course).

@MJT has a trailed one iirc.

Unlikely to be the same the same as Claas as they don’t buy in but design and manufacture their own beds.

Does the 9ft version leave a tidy enough swath to bale straight out of. I see they come standard with swath discs. Can these be adjusted?

I’d think you’d need a wide pick up reel, at the least.
The swath discs are in a fixed position I think (I’ve not looked to move them) and it leaves a heavy crop spread over most of the 9’ width, which is better for wilting of course.

We've a malone. I like the cutter and it makes a nice job. But the bed on ours has cracked on its 2nd season, don't actually cut that much but it is some rough ish going. Still using it this season but still losing oil as couldn't get it welded up properly.
