Top class machine bought 4 rotor last summer to replace 6 rotor krone easily getting through more work with the malone and it’s a pleasure to work

Are you referring to “all” European brands? Kind of a sweeping statement there.
I’m referring to the likes of a new lely bought new 5 years ago that is working on a farm where I pick up the silage that gives plenty of trouble , grass getting in around the bearings and breaking down when needed and is now traded in for a new Malone for this season . I’d compare the Malone rake to the Mchale Fusion , when Mchale brought out the Fushion they wiped the market by building a heavy duty trouble free machine and Malone has done the same with this Tedder , then remember he started life as a Mchale engineer .

I know of the background. But I was of the understanding of that the tedder was in part a design from a European company. Whatever I have looked at them closely and they are well put together but then so to are some European HD models also.

He uses a European design but makes it a bit heavier . He has a lot of them out working and I’ve never heard of one being ripped apart yet .

You do know that your not going to win the argument.
It's not just the Irish conditions that are "tough"😀

I’m not seeking to win or lose. You misunderstand me. I was merely placing some balance into the debate. I am not and have never criticised the competition. Everyone makes good and not so good products through time

Would you good people recommend a Malone 6 rotor over a Krone?
Looking to buy one next week to upgrade our older Krone 4 rotor.

I believe the Malone is about £500 cheaper than the Krone and slightly bigger.

We’ve always been happy with Krone products over the years but I like the look of the hook tines and the malone looks a stronger built machine.
