Just normal stuff really.

Small axles so track rods king pins ujs etc
Rear axle pivot to chassis bad for wear

A 2003 will have the 3 cylinder 1100series perky so it vibrates alot at idle!
Electric lift pump but it's a smaller version of the common 4 cylinder ones.

Sold a few Hydro damper drive plates and there used to be issues with bell housing cracking too but I would think they have all been replaced by now imo.

It has 4 cylinder engine , Thursday morning it wouldn't start , the fault was an inline oil filter blocked I asked are you sure oil filter he said yes, perhaps you can explain
The fitter also said it takes very little
to stop a new machine starting, farting or sneezing is enough

IMO nothing makes any sense, unless I'm mistaken a 523 from 2003 would be a 3 cylinder perky. only mush newer models would be 4cylinder kubota or mid 90's machines 4 cylinder perky but was a bigger machine overall as different chassis.

There is no oil filter than could block to stop it starting, they all have relief valves anyway so in the rare occasions an oil filter actually blocks it would bypass it anyway.

It's fuel filter causing problem
It's a 53 reg with 4cylinder engine does that make sense?
Seems there's been a slight communication problem as I have not seen machine

i'm sure it a 3 cylinder 1100 series, and has the crap electric lift pump that often fail and possibly the sediment filter that looks like a normal cav or crossland 522 but is isnt cause it has no paper in it just a plastic mesh. the holes on to the sediment filter love to perish and suck in air about half inch from the fitting in to the filter. metal braiding will look perfect but rubber liner cracks.

Get then to call me with serial number if they want help. Assuming it is the old 1100 series 3 cylinder perkins from 2003 then its simple fuel system all mechanical injection just the electric lift pump in the main filter head that often fails but perkins have an updated version for it.

I think 2003 would be before the 1100 series more like 2005 was the start of 1100 series in handlers and tractors, I would have said it would have a 900 series at that age

Manitou started using the 1100 series in 2003 in alsorts of models. 900 series is a little 4 pot jap copy/rebadged thing? used in the old BT buggies right up till around 2009 when they stopped making the awful things. The old 90s MLT 523 had a 4 pot 1000 series in it.

100% a 2003 MLT 523 or MT 523 will have a 3 pot 1100 series perky.

Doesn’t look like a 1100 in this one

well no cause thats a 2002 machine for starters and 1100 sereis wasnt available till like i said 2003 which the OP said the machine in question was. Not sure what engine that is IMO vibrates like a 3cylinder thats for sure! but doesnt look like a 1000 series so one woudl assume it is a 900.

I can only go on what the OP has said so far and that tells me its a 3cylinder 1100series BUT it is on the border line of change so his 53plate may not be a 2003 build but was hanging around a while before being sold so might be exactly like the one in your vid link and a 2002 build with a 53 reg plate, which still wont have any ECU on it and a very basic fuel system.

With out a serial number to go off this is all a waste of time. 99% of the time with manitou you need the serial number as there are million and one different combinations and specs and variations to pick from. Another thread on here earlier today, just a basic model number, no age not even the model of engine, an impossible question to answer with out details as the model in that thread could have had a perkins 1100 series mechanical injection, 1100 common rail, a merc engine, or a deutz and then later on a deutz with adblue.

Today i have a message from a random person on my answer phone, no idea who they are, just says wants pins and bushes for telehandler! no make or model nothing:banghead:

My crystal ball is well and truely broken! so if everyone could just do one simple thing like Make, model, age and serial number (PM if you prefure) that would be great (y) 😂

Update..... @AC Engineering did say nothing makes any sense and he's correct... this afternoon I was told it's not a 523 but 526 I have yet to see the machine and I was going by what I was told

1004.4 engine then, they didnt fit the 1100series in these till the 627 replaced it.

Fuel problems just replace all braided suction pipes and may as well do return at same time or at least clean the banjo at bottom of tank, replace lift pump, clean and reseal water trap replace main filter.

That will cure most fuel problems on these and cheap to do.

If it blew fuse then replace stop solenoid and check wiring at pump AND the timing temp sender above injector pump and the wire behind pump going down to timing solenoid.

It's not uncommon to fit a cheap inline fuel filter on the tank suction pipe, I hope you not bought the one I fitted filter too as that is a total pile of crap, it was decent when I sold it 10 years ago but got wreaked within 2 years.
