Manitou 627 hydraulics

Recently bought a manitou 627 turbo, 62 plate with 3700hrs. , first thing I noticed was that 95% of the time the boom is slow at coming back in, feels like it’s really struggling to pull it back. but every now and again it comes back without a problem? Also, when you start it in morning, or after its been sitting for a length of time you’ve to put the throttle right down to get any hydraulics to work? After the boom is moving etc it’s fine, but seems slow in general, especially when crowding the attachment? Any help or thoughts appreciated thank you.

Tweek the steering after starting the pilot accumulator for joystick is charged off the steering circuit. You will need to turn steering regular during use to keep hydraulics working.

As for laboured boom In that's kind of normal with cold oil, there is a valve on the back of ram you can adjust if required to make it easier but it can go other way and valve can open too fast then it will judder and shake the machine.
