Manitou 634/120 heater.

Anyone had the heater stuck on hot despite dial turning? Was great in winter but getting a bit much now.

I had one that wouldn’t turn off completely and i took the control panel off in the cab and found it wasn’t turning the cable fully to shut the valve. Be worth a check in there.

Had recently on a jcb 418 where the dial was moving and felt like it was doing something but the valve inside the plastic tap had siezed open

We also had one that needed the cable to the valve adjusted.

I think the valve itself is knackered on ours. Even when forced shut it doesn't work.

The control panels are crap. For older models there was a replacement but that's still crap. If had replacement then it is necessary to reposition the cab heater control cable at the valve end under cab as per instructions.

Calbe ends snap off and heater valves can get stiff and not shut off.

Can also be plumbed up the wrong way on heater pipes.
