Manitou 665 Almost all boom functions inoperative

Hello all,

I've got a 2006 Manitou MVT 665 E2 series that has lost all boom functions besides tilt. Won't extend, retract, raise, or lower. My operator was running it for roughly 2 hours until it stalled out on him with the coolant flowing out of the drain hose. It does have a hard start and slightly off idle but runs fairly decent other than that. Slight white smoke while running. It will start to stall out if you do go to raise the boom. Any suggestions? I don't need this thing to be running perfect just need it to run for a couple more months.

@AcEngeneering? I hear you're the wizard on these things. I have no manuals other than a parts manual to go off of.

Probably a MHT 665?
Either way its heavy industrial spec.
Not something I'm familiar with, but maybe a pump issue. Guess it has a piston pump and it's swash plate isnt working right that's why it's under load on start up? Or you have a spool stuck.
Or a lack of pilot pressure but that wouldnt make it load the engine on start up.

Yes the MVT 665/675 were built at the Italian Manitou Factory as part of a range of Hydrostatic Driven machines from 7 mtr upwards but were only for the Italian & Europe Market (excluding UK) as we sourced our machines from the French Factory with TC Transmissions. However the MVT665 and MVT675 were brought into the Uk in Year 2000 to fill a gap. Very simple machine with Perkins 1004T Engine and mechanical range lever for low and high range Hydrostatic - no fancy electronics - Servo Joystick- probably a Pilot Pressure problem but only sold 3 or 4 used over 20 yrs so not totally up to speed with them from a technical point of view. Where are you located?
