The main hydraulic pump on our Manitou has started to leak quite badly from where it splits from its mounting shown in photo. Is it a new seal kit or is the pump worn out ? (done 2000 hours since it was replaced in 2003)..

The bolts holding pump together have probably sheared or come loose. They do shear from time to time.

I expect the splines that drive the pump will also be worn though. These can be fixed by turning them off in lathe and induction welding a new set on but only worth doing if pump internals are in good order.
Just to add to ACE's post. You probably know them already but If you need help with the repair of the pump or a new pump KV Hydraulics Near Leigh Sinton maybe able to help with repairs or new pump cost effectively. Cheers

If you have to plosh the dosh and get a new pump try Locators, they were a lot cheaper than the Scottish outfit that we generally use when we needed a pump recently.
