Manitou 732 hydraulic pump

The main hydraulic pump on our Manitou has started to leak quite badly from where it splits from its mounting casting....as shown in photo. Is it a new seal kit or is the pump worn out ? (done 2000 hours since it was replaced in 2003)..

The bolts holding pump together have probably sheared or come loose. They do shear from time to time.

I expect the splines that drive the pump will also be worn though. These can be fixed by turning them off in lathe and induction welding a new set on but only worth doing if pump internals are in good order.

If you have to plosh the dosh and get a new pump try Locators, they were a lot cheaper than the Scottish outfit that we generally use when we needed a pump recently.
