Manitou boom problem

Hi I have a mlt 634 LSU turbo 2005 and when I pull rocker switch back 1/2 way the boom comes in fine when I pull it full back it almost stops / goes very slow. any help would be great getting very frustrating cheers.

Sounds like the solenoid is sticking, you could try swapping the plugs over for the boom and the locking pins on the spool block to eliminate the problem but it was quite common on the early models

Solenoid valves are common fault on these.

Located under the panel in back right hand corner of cab.

Swap plug with aux temporarily to see if the ext roller works the aux solenoid okay.

Be aware the bucket locking ram isolation switch will jow be isolating the extension though.

Swap the hyd. hoses first. If slow movement problem switches, then you have a problem with the valve. Probably electric pilot valve.
If the problem doesn't change, telescope cylinder is the problem.
