Its always been a pita to start ,,had a new starter and battery about 4 years ago but I think it was cheepo job ,,I know the fitter was using a few choice words trying to get it in ,,anyway today it turned about 3 spins and stoped dead ,even putting the booster on has no effect ,,can just hear something clicking which I presume is the solenoid trying to engage but I think the starter has locked upStarters no problem. Just wants the 3.2kw on that.
Doors are more than £700 I think. Twice when I wanted one back in summer manitou had no stock all summer. Had to use a more expensive supplier to get them. I would think manitou stock levels will be better by now

Probably not the case but worth checking the starter mounting bolts/studs haven't sheared or loosened. Ours did, due to a hard of hearing driver engaging the starter a few times when the engine was already running. Went to start it myself and the starter pinion just jammed as it wasn't properly meshed with the ring teeth. Starter felt loose on the engine. Studs had sheared. PITA to extract and replace but got a set that fitted from WDS fasteners I think.
Cant even see the starter ,,that much other stuff in the way ,need two more joints in your arm to feel it

That's the problem and often why they get fitted without being tightened up properly. Then they slacken off, misalign and jam.
The frame is twisted ,,some how before landlords brother passed away ,he forgot it was open ,backed out and it crunched against the stanchion ,ripped it of and bent the hinges ,,thats why theres no glass in it .
The nieghbors had the same model ,,they had the exact same problem with it ,,new starters ,batteries ,nothing cured it so it went three years ago and they now have a JCB

I was looking at it and thought then the only way to get at it was by taking the radiator out ,,he can get somebody else to do itStarters not a problem, just dont fit a crap one
To access it you remove the battery tray flap, remove the housing on the front of the radiator, if your cleaver and with a 15mm craws foot spanner on a 3/8 socket set you will get the old starter off, if not then you can take the 3 bolts out holding the rad to the engine pod frame and pull it away from the fan then get down the back with a normal spanner.
The new 3.2kw starter i would supply you is psychically smaller and can get normal 3/8 drive sockets on it so no need to struggle with spanners but it will spin the engine over better.
you will need 1 x good 663 battery or for best performance get a 642 battery but be careful you dont short the terminals out on the flip up battery tray!
Once door is twisted you cant really do a lot with them as there a folded double skin on them, they also rot out at the bottom.
What a palaver kefuffle. Managed to unbolt the rads, and shuffle them at an angle to make room to extract. Even then, it dropped down and got jammed.....
New one fitted. Will refit the rads tomorrow.
