Which is better a 4 Tonne Manitou or a 4 Tonne Bobcat? We are looking to buy a new telehandler and looking for other peoples opinions of each.

be safer bet with the manitou just because they are more popular but i suspect the Bobcat is a fair bit cheaper so go with what you like and can get best support locally.

Manitou for me though the French like to make servicing difficult, the newer range are miles handier to grease and service though.

I have a 741 and a 627 but have had several others over the years

Bobcat and Massey (same machine) sell very few handlers in the UK - so used equipment values for them are poor, but if your keeping it 10 or 15 years, and its 10 k cheaper to begin with, it may be worth a punt, but to be honest Manitou in its latest guise is the one. in my opinion.

I've never read a good review of a Bobcat/Massey handler. Even FW where everything is BRILLIANT to keep the ad revenue was quite critical in a write up a while back.

Manitou have a huge following of loyal repeat customers.

BTW, I vote for a JCB.
