Marconi Meters & Repatriation

I'm back! Can't believe it has been over a year, mental how time flies and life just pushes on. Good or bad, hard to say.

Many thanks for the kind words and private messages about my Dad; he was quite unique in ability. Both his electrical and electronic understanding and the power to keep you on the phone for hours!!

Think we have repatriated all but a few meters. And those that were no longer wanted, have been greatly received and lovingly kept safe over the last year.

If you think you still have a meter due to you, do let me know.

Meanwhile, if anyone is interested in his spares, traced circuit diagrams of all models and his repair manuals, his new "marconi" model E meter that he never persuaded Marconi to take to market, jigs, power supply diagrams, replacement batteries etc, then do let me know. I'm sure we can agree a price. I'm looking to sell it all as a job lot, but the volume of complete meters is more than a few dining tables!

@Lodekka I know you expressed an interest in his Marconi kit. If you are still interested then PM me and we can share details. I have finally collated items together so there's a much better understanding of what he has available. I think if we share mobile numbers I can Whatsapp you photos of his loot and we take it from there.

thanks & BR

Phil.

Good Morning Phil,

Thanks for getting back in contact. Glad to hear you have made progress reuniting people with meters - always a hard job if not having any records.

Yes, I would be interested in the spares/notes colllection - even if only to know what is there.
You can PM me on here or you can email me on [email protected] (note: the LL6L is not numbers) or call on 07369 208509 if you prefer and we can discuss.

I am happy to come up and look over the items and offer advice of what is useful or not.

Although it is many years since I worked at Marconi on these, I am still helping a lot of people with their instruments.

Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Nigel
