So today is the final day of the bearded wonders hold on Welsh Assembly power to be succeeded by someone called Mark Drakeford.
Can someone from down Sarf please enlighten a bewildered Gog as I hadn’t heard of him until last week..
What affect on Welsh agriculture?

Was he? Tbh news from south of Dolgellau washes over me usually so it was a surprise to see this old codger wheeled out as our next leader. Shows a singular lack of talent in the Welsh Labour Party IMO

It doesn't really matter who's the leader, Wales would still vote labour if a donkey was the leader, because " I've always voted Labour" , then whinge when the schools, NHS etc are getting worse....

Sir Fon has an honourable tradition of sharing around our booty

MPs
1929-50 liberal
51-79 labour
79-87 Tory
87-01 Plaid
01- ? Labour

Assembly
Always plaid with a local Tory thrown in at the beginning as one of these make up wallahs

I have heard he's going to have 50/50 gender split in his cabinet.

This sort of sh!t is so stupid - no, you pick the best people for the job regardless of gender (and I wouldn't mind if there was a vegetarian in charge of agriculture if it was capable). Can't stand this virtue signalling

I don't think the Welsh Govt has much reach beyond Cardiff Bay for a lot of things but to be honest its not all bad, I think it does give the country a bit of confidence and certainly it has been beyond excellent for Cardiff

Totally agree with this. People should be chosen on merit for any given situation, be it politics or anything else. Gender, colour, creed etc should be of secondary importance to a person’s ability to do a job.

Unfortunately Labour have some history when it comes to stipulating things like ‘wimmin’ only, or decreeing that 50% of members must be one legged transgender black lesbians with learning difficulties and challenging behavioural problems and a deprived inner city area background, to ensure a multi cultural presence on Bodfari and District Parish Council.
