We all know that sometimes young hens in a flock can take on the appearance and characteristics of a cockerel. While they remain a hen genitally, they look for all the world like a cockerel. I have a blue Orpington who did just this. He / she is called Dorian.
It's unusual for these birds to lay eggs but when they do, there is no egg white, just pure golden yoke. Apparently these are very much valued by high end restaurants.
Does anyone have any top chef contacts in London I could contact? It would have to be shipped in the next day or 2 to remain fresh. As I have fed Dorian for a year for no gain, I would like to cash in on this one, golden opportunity.
Thanks.
