I wonder if anyone can help?
My father and grandfather worked for Marshall Sons of Gainsborough (and my father later worked for IH & Case).
I bought the plate / plaque shown in the attached photo a while ago, but I have managed to figure out (as I was contacted by a collector) that there seem to be a number of them with the same number (36140) around - but all with the 3610 inscribed differently (suggesting they are not simply from the same casting).
I wondered if anyone knew what the 36140 referred to on the plate / plaque is (and hence whether they are likely to be modern recasts or original plates for a certain engine type).
