Marshmallow killing moles

You're all doing it wrong. What you need to do is tie a piece of string round each mallow so the mole can't drag it home. If he (or she) takes it home they can nibble on it as and when whereas if it's blocking the hole becasue the string holds it then the mole has to eat it in one sitting and gets stuck and dies of thirst.
you've just given me a great idea ...string with a hook on it in the marshmallow ..bit of fishing for moles ...hell might have to try a worm too ...

We have done some testing in a 5 acre field, treated solely with marshmallows and the molehills raked flat, twice we have added two bags of marshmallows to the runs, there is still fresh digging - but not as much?

We managed to dig up and catch a mole alive the other day, put it in a bucket of soil, it was dead the next morning, before I got near it with a marshmallow!

I cannot confirm anything either way!

Found some huge white marshmallows in B&M. Thought they'd be perfect for dealing with moles, if they didn't eat them I could drop them on their heads and at least give them concussion. I have the moles are spurning my waterlogged swamp so had no option but to eat the marshmallows myself, life can be so cruel sometimes:whistle:

aaahhhh arent they cute ???

last time i drove over a mole hill i didnt break the track rod , i didnt jar my back or get stuck and need assistance to be pulled out
most of the time the deposits of earth they leave on the surface is easily leveled out with either machinery or even the side of your welly
they dont decimate other native wildlife species , and dont that i am aware carry any nasty diseases
and to top it all off the poor buggers cant see
yet why are we allowed , without repercussions, to persecute them by almost any means , in order to stop them getting a bit of dirt in the sward
i think we all know where i am going with this so i will stop ..........

Moles only go where the soil is full of juicy worms and crunchy beetles, so if you have lots of molehills in your field, you can say " isn't my soil really healthy !"
If you could train them to tunnel down the slope of the field you'd have the drainage sorted as well. :)

My neighbour thinks mole runs are good drainage for his pastures, he didn't appreciate it when I pointed out they can dig under or scramble through the fences into my sikage ley that I spend so long keeping the moles out of.

My dad tried it with some moles that were rooting the traps, left the markers in so he could check them and when he next looked all he found was that the mole had bunged the run full round the marshmallow, maybe its more of a case of the moles not liking them so it will work in a restricted space like a garden and keep them away from the existing runs at least?
