Downie is some character, he, s putting alot of lmbs to lanark on a Monday, was buying alot at 110+ to number 1, they, ll be at lanark in March for around 140 probably. A good distance for him to go with them, he's in Aberdeen.

Cheery trade considering that I wasn’t overly happy with my lambs

I hope everyone is happy with their trade this year. Giving anything the benefit of the doubt price wise you could add a good few quid onto that and still not be enough. Some of the poorer end looked horrendously dear to me, that’s when you know the trade is good and they are dear.

Can’t believe the 2 markets couldn’t get their heads together. Having 2 sales of 8000+ lambs on the same day in the same town, might be ok for them but no fun for the buyers and even less fun for the hauliers. I’ve got lambs heading to vivers today, the haulier is screwed for driving time because of yesterday.

Yes, cally should have been tomorrow, think Fisher and JE was at ua, they probably would have went to the cally if sale had been tomorrow, Fisher anyway was there yesterday early but he buys mostly bf lmbs.

Does seem a bit daft as if there’s some awkwardness in
If I remember right the sales were on different days last year UA was on Wednesday I think
