The doomsday book was written to create law and order in England and most of wales, to divide up land, an ENGLISH mans home is his caste and we will defend it or die trying. Now to let a load of left wing champagne sipping guardian reading thugs loose across my land will cause a problem, they have no respect for law and order and see themselves as privileged bunch, Most were at Bristol at the weekend.

Yeah.
It was the serfs that fought and/or died defending YOUR castle that you now wish to exclude.
Not that I defend modern day unruly behaviour.
Freedom of the masses should never have been allowed...many of them want all the freedom and not the responsibility.

What if you want it but don't have any money?

They might be like "explorers" and just stick their peg in and stay there?

In a legal sense, we tranferred some money and "the deeds" were tranferred into our names; which is really quite a cumbersome and expensive process compared to simply moving in, chopping down and burning a few things that get in the way of the view, and calling it "my new place"

Of course the law is on the side of "the haves" beause it was the haves who wrote the laws, but unfortunately when everybody keeps replaying the victim narrative, the number of people who see themselves as "the have-nots" increases over time, even the landed gentry pee and moan about "we don't get enough" quite a lot
My accountant talks about tax being ‘redistribution of wealth’ This doesn’t sit comfortable with me.
I have close family killed themselves early due to work. Work to buy land or keep hold of land. Some could say it is still happening with a few of us. Not saying that’s right or wrong but that’s how it is.
Some time ago under a labour government here there was some re classification of land which deemed it ‘free access’ some of this was owned by ourselves. We had to fight this legally at a cost, some we won some we couldn’t win, we ended up with 2000 acres in free access.
Makes little difference wether it’s free access or not folk just go wandering on it all anyway maybe it’s the principle of the matter I never feel that money was badly spent. There’s a whiff of change in the air

Is it this whiff?

Haha yes it is. Maybe the hippies have taken over?
What’s the point in buying something if it’s not actually yours?
Why buy something if you can use/take/steal someone else’s?
It's been heading that way for a while, but we've been kidding ourselves that "it will get better, something will come along"

It's a pretty real looking something, because it's very difficult to stop "movement" and @caveman's got it. It's a very clever game of social engineering but there is a good prize on offer, small wonder than that all our "leaders" aren't really doing a lot of leading at the moment

Governments can’t actually take land directly from private ownership easily as it would look badly
They can however make ownership difficult and obtain it through taxation and legalities
National Trust for example
Compulsory purchase
As @Kiwi Pete said earlier

I rather think you will find, that when you read what is written down in ink, that you only own the right to OCCUPY as a TENNANT, a certain piece of land and as such you are not much different to your tom cat p!ssing up your sofa to mark his territory.
The land itself is owned by all of us, or we are all owned by the land.
maybe but its a perfectly natural thing to tell them to get off my land or just rip them up and eat them its been going on for years, animals have been laying claim to the land since they/we [look between your fingers] crawled out of the sea and the plants laid claim to it before that, all perfectly natural and is going on everywhere

It always has

that's why I'm not in favour of the "turn on the sh!t-thrower, Jethro" because that's a waste of good manure.

Let them come, be good hosts, if you could send "keto diet" ones here that would be great - I could use a hand to knobble a few sheep late April and the vegan ones can't pull a skin off a mutton

They almost have a point

it's "the land", belonging to the land, Gaia, the planet Earth... not people

we just own titles, hard to see the logic in assuming ownership of something you're actually made of just because someone spent a lifetime paying off/inheriting a piece of paper, but we are irrational creatures

so, how does trespass work in this context, the homeless guy on the street owns no land and nor do we.
Maybe it's time to complain about ALL tools of social injustice and not just private property ownership?
they have no point Pete, lets trespass on our land, so which is it ?
say you told them they could keep it, would they want it ? probably yes if it was under the conditions that they claim to fight against when they proclaim its our land but if they only had it under the condition that they took it and anyone else could do the same to them they wouldn't want it not really,
its not the land its the reaction they want if they were on this forum they would be called out as trolls and in the same way as I use a false name when bating you on here they will quite likely hide their faces and identity which if they really believed it was our land they wouldn't have to do in fact they wouldn't make a fuss about it as it would be no big deal, they are hypocrites give them the choice of the land and their system or no land and the current system and they will go home and they won't leave the front door open

Ooh I fancy a day out, perhaps I shall take a tractor to explore the home and garden of one of the organizers of this...
They won't have one, all property is theft...

We can't take it with us... hopefully you can see the irony of British people attempting to conquer and claim rights to their "own land" for a change, after laying claim to half the rest of the planet, it's quite fresh
You are a direct beneficiary of what you criticise. :banghead:

@Danllan - I am not criticising, merely pointing out the obvious of "well brace yourselves, 'coz it's coming back around" and nobody likes having their land taken away, so bang your head on that
