Hi, I'm new to this forum and am hoping for a little advice.

I have been looking for a good honest Massey 135. I'm a little nervous about all the pretty re painted ones. I have seen a late 135 with a serial number starting 466... It all looks like a low hour example. The catch is that it has been re imported back from Japan. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Is it a private seller or dealer , never herd of MFs being imported from Japan is their any reason why it went their or came back in the first place . I would probably have a look at it and find out abouts it history it's probably all fine but importing from Japan is definitely a new one . Regards Henry

Cutting the UK embassy lawn, perhaps?
And its a Massey not a clone or Massey look-a-like?

To be honest we never bother with history, if it looks OK and everything checks out and its good value for money, we would take a punt. But not for the faint hearted ...................

Is it to work or for show, or a bit of both? We're not nosy, just concerned

Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy the banter ..........

First thing is its 8 speed not 6 as sold to uk market.
I have seen photos of Japanese 135's they have sealed brakes unlike uk tractors, which might be a problem sourcing parts.
