Massey 135 valve ?

Hi folks, I’m in the middle of restoring an early Massey 135 tractor. It has a front loader fitted with a small brass control valve the controls the hydraulic flow to it. Does anyone recognise the valve on the attached photo ? It leaks badly and I’m hoping to rebuild it or replace it with the same.....cheers

yes as said, make up new pipes with jic fittings and connect to the two fittings on your selector valve marked 1. this will have the added advantage of holding the linkarms up even when you lower the loader and will top them up every time you lift the loader

Indeed it does. Have one the same in a ''I'll keep that in case I need it'' bucket even though it was removed because it wasn't needed anymore and leaked badly......T'was a MIL loader that was on my 135 for years.

Thanks for the help & advice guys. I’d like to keep it (or rebuild/replace it with a better valve) as it lets me disconnect the front loader from the tipper/trailer which is hard piped from the same outlet
Cheers Mike

Your selector valve would do the same job but better, as your tipper pipe is actually on a cross drilling of the lift ram circuit the trailer would tip by using constant pumping so would be isolated from the loader via the selector valve. Its a long time since I used a 135 with selector valve so there could be a more logical way to do it as the selector has 3 positions ie linkage ,port one and port two. What is the selector valve used for at moment?
