Hello
So I am in the later stages of a restoration on a 135, need the wiring to the headlights, firstly does anyone know if it is still available and secondly how hard is it to make up, would I be right thinking it would need 3 wires (earth, hi beam and low beam) then piggy back from right light to left or vice versa or is there more to it.
TIA

I would imagine you could connect the headlamp units down to earth onto the chassis or bonnet metalwork close to the headlamps. Then you only need two wires going from the light switch to one headlamp, them continue the wires to the next headlamp as you say. Easy to do. Couple of wires bound up with some black insulating tape a few piggy back spades and jobs a good un.

That's what I was thinking of really, when there is nothing to copy though you just start to question whats needed!

Usually put the fuse as close to the positive terminal of the battery as possible, so probably just as you take the power from the ignition switch to the light switch will be fine. If as above you want one for each, put them just after the light switch. You have two B+ terminals on the regulator if you need a tidy power supply instead of the ignition switch. Consider twin core wire, might be tidier than two singles.

originaly the lights feed was taken from the ammeter. that way a current change is shown when the lights are on. an inline glass type fuse was linked from the ammeter to the switch. if you are making your own harness any of the above suggestions will suffice.

@trook135 switch the side lights on (first position) connect the two terminals that allow a test bulb (or the actual sidelights) to work.
Now turn to the next position on the switch and one of the other terminals should have power that you can control with the switch? If none have power or you cant switch it off, interchange the first two wires connected. Now the next position will have power and you are good to go.

Click for 135 wiring stuff, until @multi power gets home ...............
