So struggling to find much in the way of 4wd 80hp tractors a Massey 2210’has caught our eye looks more modern yet simpler mechanicals? Are they a Massey product or rebadged other brand 55hp and weight 3t but younger than the 590/690/290 we have been looking at. And not much more £££ only found 1 post on here about them is that good or bad?

MF 2210 is a very lightweight tractor. Developed jointly by MF, Iseki and Landini, built by Landini in the Valpadana factory in San Martino. Sold as MF 2200, Landini Globus or Iseki TR series. OK for the right job but don't think of fitting a loader or lifting anything heavy. Councils used them on gang mowers quite a lot but fuel tank too small for a full day of work. Very few sold in the UK hence few posts. Different league ( in the wrong way) in terms of duty to MF 300 series like 362 of the same era.

Not a full duty ag' tractor ( other than in Japan) if you want to do real work you need to look for something more substantial.

Sounds like it might be ideal for us then apart from rarity will only be used towing light trailers (3.5t max most are 1.5t or less) on soft ground a few hours a week mostly weekends short distance most care like to drive would be ideal oh and high ground clearance (not that the ground is the issue  )

Like I said, for the right job they re fine, lightweight means light footprint and great on turfcare jobs. not sure on parts availability but for low hours use you shouldn't need many parts, you will be lucky to find one in a breakers too. If the one you are looking at is in good order and not been obviously abused it should be fine, haggle hard as there probably isn't a queue to buy it.

Thanks it’s a fair trek away but if I can get a phone number I’ll give the fella a call certainly more appealing than the madmax 290 offered locally

Transmission was in-house Landini, 15x15 if I recall. Engine in MF 2210 and Landini versions is Perkins 903 ( modernised and bored out 3.152) Larger units has 4 cyl Perkins 1004. Iseki version used an Iseki engine.

Probably less than 100 MF versions ever sold in the UK so not many about. even less Landini Globus. Italy or other Med' counties is where most went.
