Massey 5465 diesel problem

5465 stopped today when power harrowing as if it had run out of diesel.
I blew through pipe from lift pump back to tank then pumped fuel through to filter bleeder then bladder on injector pump. Cracked two injector nuts a d hey presto it started.
I did one pre turn and stopped again.
Bled it again it started with injectors cracked, stopped it to tighten them (rather than bet showered with diesel) wouldn't start again and now wont start even with injectors slackened, although there seems to be plenty of diesel coming through.
Any ideas?

Check fuse to engine stop solenoid. Had ours blow a few times which gave us problems similar to running out of fuel. Turned out to be a wire rubbed through where loom comes up from below cab on right hand side of dash board.

If it was the stop solenoid would we have diesel getting to the injectors?

Wouldn't have thought so... it's just an electronic stopper so would assume it just cuts the injectors. It's just easy to check and eliminate the possibility of blown fuses first when it has electronic engine control.

You would still have low pressure desiel to the I injectors. There are two relays tucked away by the clutch pedal behind the kick panel. Swap the two over and try . Or try voltage regulator .

Tier II Perkins with the Bosch injector pump are barstewards to bleed. You need to crack open at least four, maybe five injectors before it will purge, and tighten them before stopping the engine.

Totally different tractor I know but my 3095 had the same symptoms, I did all the same things and found this in the tank, big hand towel blocking the pickup just enough

Massey Ferguson 5465 won’t run. Diagnosed the electronic Cat injection pump bad. because speed sensors ohm’ed out good. Fuel getting to low side pump on back of it. Checked voltage at M prompt. 1.3v we also unplugged it which should give full flow at 0 volts. No high pressure fuel at rail. So we put a new pump from agco and it started and ran 30 seconds and quit. Still no high pressure to rail. This pump cools the ecm and returns to prefilter housing.
