I am trying to figure out after jumping into my cab and turning key, the data display says bad checks on it now. Hoping someone could enlighten me to what this means. I guess a electrical fault somewhere on machine but not sure where to start

Bad checksum most likely a fault within the datatronic unit and will at least require reprogramming. One for David King electronics if in UK

is it not more likely a checksum error resulting from loading the program from memory ? It appeared as soon as he turned the key

I see it in a 8100 i help a lad out with now and then. Appears on the screen exactly the same.

Does this possibly mean like a computer to turn it off and on again or change the batteries in it to reset it. Or is it a bad wire that the computer cannot read the data correctly from. Hoping something I can have a go at fixing.

I’d try https://dkelectronics.co.uk/ very likely they’ve dealt with it before. They are usually helpful and will either confirm it’s a unit repair or suggest some basic checks

Also more advice please as I am trying to locate (as it says in my op manual) the part 25 brake switch. Does this mean brake like switch, brake pedal switch,hand brake switch?. Which one am I looking for. I just would like to check if working correctly.

No.25 is the brake pedal switches.
Screw the dash out and you will see them mounted on top off the pedals

Also fuel guage is on red but half tank filed up. Would this mean fuel tank sender which has 4 volts on it need replacing the whole part

Yeah sounds like the tank unit is faulty but remove the 2 wires and join them together to see if the gauge on the dash goes to max.

If it does it's the tank unit
