Massey 6190 stiff steering and dynashift problems

Got a 1998 massey 6190 , standard hydraulics , when she's warm steering gets stiff at low revs ,which I thought just needs new pump , but it started not holding in dynashift B in autumn but now it seems to jump from a straight to d going up gears but does sometimes seem to select them on way back down , is this linked to steering been stiff ? Anyone had similar problems

TIA

Changed all oil and filters , oil wasn't too bad , 9nly got the tractor in autumn and full service was first thing to we did . If pump is weak does that affect dynashift

does sound like a pressure/flow problem as low pressure services are fed from the returns from the steering. dynashift will always default to D as its the only range that doesn't need pressure

It will stay in a all day long but when you go to change to b or c it's straight to d , sometimes it does change to b ,

I normally do 90% of mechanicing myself, and will be fitting a pump myself , a pumps around 400 quid ,
Not sure if u should have a mechanic out to pressure and flow test it first or just fit one

It's had new pump and brakes fitted thanks massey breaker , good job I did brakes as they was ready for breaking up luckily just done them in time . Steering is cured but still sometimes isn't changing power shifts correctly , sometimes works fine others doesn't select b then when you select you can feel it go through 2 power shifts, but it doesn't do it all the time

Thanks

@masseybreaker @MF just bought a new accumulator for a 6170 on it says 11bar pressure but read somewhere before that they need to be reduced to 9bar to work properly .. is this true or will it work ok at 11bar thanks
