Have a 6480 massey here needing new plastic air tanks for the cab suspension, Once saw somewhere that there's a engineering works in the UK making steel ones but can't seem to find it again!
Anyone any idea who makes these?

There have been quite a few posts on here about the replacement steel fabricated tanks. There was also a post on here showing how someone had replaced the struts, shock absorbers, with combined spring and shock units from a later model, thats worth you thinking about as well. Try the search facility on here.

Bolted straight in where the old shockers came out, just need to jack both sides of the cab together to keep it level enough to get the bolts through.
Need the earlier 5400 ones - the later type (and 7700 ones) are a bit longer and have a clevis at one end

Is there any sign of strain on the mounting points you've used, seeing as they aren't designed to support the full weight of the cab?

Did you just purchase the shock absorbers alone or were there other 5400 brackets required?

No sign yet. The 7400 brackets are pretty strong, the weakest bit I think will be the mounting bolts, but no problem yet
