Massey 6480 brake master cylinder leaking

I was out power harrowing today and noticed the cab full of oil, it's coming from the left hand brake master cylinder through the rubber cover.

I have read that you need to replace pressure vessel or something aswell?
Where is best to buy all the parts and what's involved, Massey want £650 plus vat for the double master cylinder.

6480 t3 early one with Perkins engine.

Also best place to get a new exhaust, (90 bend and first part to top of engine)

It’s under the cab right hand side. It evens out the pressure taking out shock loads.at least have it checked out if it’s failed and you don’t replace it the new brake cylinder won’t last long

Dealers should have the gear or any hydraulic specialists worth a try. Sometimes they just need a top up but the rubber bladder inside can also have cracked and lost the gas

I’ve heard you should do accumulator aswel, last time I got one was 172 plus vat for accumulator for clutch circuit but it’s same for brakes I believe or is on a tier 2,

my old accumulator was full of oil, bladder fooked unscrew end and see

Just ordered an accumulator for my brake circuit, farming parts have 10% off and free delivery, so £211 inc vat and delivery, pretty sure my last one was not much cheaper than that as the price i quoted here was plus vat and delivery,

and on second glance they may be same as yours?

ring em with your chassis number.

thats one i got

To test your brake accumulator go on a safe field and travel along, knock into neutral and turn key off
You should have at least 3 or 4 presses of the brake pedal to have enough brake to stop you
If you have no brake the accumulator is flat

Yep it’s definately goosed I found out the hard way going up a hill with a load missed gearing and stalled it brown trouser moment!

Dobsons at Skipton matched macekderrys just picked one up now

having the brake accumulator tested, the front axle one is dead, where is best to buy one from, 27mm x 2mm male thread on mine which im struggling to find other than MF
i ended up with 1 from agco cant remember the thread on it

i had 1 of these for my front suspension
with a m27 to either half or three quarter bsp adapter from my local stores
get a higher pressure
